Jared Anderson was born and raised in San Diego, California. After graduating from high school he obtained his bachelor’s degree at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. He then attended law school at the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. During law school Jared received recognition for excellence in his scholastic studies and was selected to represent his school by participating in the moot court NAAC competition.
After receiving his Juris Doctorate degree and taking the Nevada Bar Exam, Jared was admitted to the Nevada State Bar on September 14, 2006. Jared also applied for and was admitted to the practice of federal law by the United States District Court for the District of Nevada on July 18, 2008.
During the course of his law practice Jared has engaged in the practice of civil law at every level of the Nevada judicial system. He has extensive experience in civil litigation and has conducted over thirty-five jury trials in the Eighth Judicial District of Nevada. He has also been recognized for his appellate practice and has briefed and argued cases before the Nevada Supreme Court. He has obtained several published decisions from the Nevada Supreme Court that have changed and clarified case law on significant issues in the State of Nevada.
In 2015 Jared was appointed to serve as an Arbitrator by the Eighth Judicial District Court of Nevada and in addition to his private practice he has continued to serve as an Arbitrator since that time. Jared has in the past served as the Vice President of the Bar Association of Nye, Mineral, & Esmeralda Counties. He was selected by a group of his peers in the Keenan Trial Institute as the Nevada lawyer of the year for 2017.
One of Jared’s passions is holding corporations accountable when they attempt to conceal or cover up actions which have harmed Nevada residents and visitors. He has obtained orders in the Nevada District Court, the Nevada Federal Court and the Nevada Supreme Court penalizing corporate defendants for destroying or concealing evidence of their wrongdoing.
Another one of Jared’s passions is mentoring attorneys who are new to the practice of law. He is actively involved in continuing legal education and has taught continuing legal education courses to other attorneys on behalf of the Nevada Justice Association (NJA) and the National Business Institute (NBI). He is actively involved in the Nevada Justice Association (NJA) and Justice Through Verdicts (JTV).
He is fluent in English and Spanish.
